I Corinthians 12   PMV (Puppet Ministry Version)

v. 5-6    There are different size puppet parts but the same message. There are different kinds of props and signs but the same God sends all of them.

v. 7        Now to each one the Holy Spirit is given for the good of the presentation.

v. 12     The puppet ministry is a unit, though it is made up of many members and though all its' parts are many, they form one team. So it is with Christ.

v. 13      For we were all called by the Holy Spirit into the puppet ministry - whether young or old, men or women, boys or girls, busy or busier - and we were all given the same message to spread.

v. 14      Now the puppet ministry is not made up of one person but many.

v. 18      But in fact God has designed and placed each member of the ministry, every one of them just as He wanted them to be.

v. 20     As it is there are many ministry members, but one team.

v. 21   The puppeteer cannot say to the propateer, "I don't need you". And the   propateer    cannot say to the mimeteer, "I don't need you".

v. 22    On the contrary, those parts of the ministry that seem to be weaker are indispensable.

v. 26     If one member suffers, every member suffers with it; if one member is honored, every member rejoices with it.

v. 27-31  Now you are the members of the puppet team, each one of you is a part of it. And in the puppet ministry, God has appointed first the directors, second the puppeteers, third the propateers, then the workers of sound, also those having gifts of special effects, those able to set up, those with gifts of choreography and those speaking with mime and signing. Are all of us directors? Of course not. Are all puppeteers? No. Are all propateers? No. Do all work sound? No. Does God give all of us the ability to have gifts of coordination?  Of course not. Can just anyone speak in mime and sign? No, but try your best at the part you have. Now, let me tell you about something else that is better than any of the parts.

I Corinthians 13

v. 1-3     If I lip sync to perfection but have not love for God, I am only flipping my lid. If I have the gift of proper propateering and can understand all directions and if I hit all my cues and make no mistakes, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all my time and money to making props, setting up and tearing down, and always wash the sweaty smelly hoods/gloves/sleeves, but have not love, I earn no points.

v. 13     And now these three remain: the message, the serving, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
